Synopsis

Singapore's green policies, beginning with the "Garden City" planning the 1960s, and continuing as a "City in a Garden" vision; have transformed the city-state into a distinctive and vibrant global city. The clean and green environment mitigates the harsh concrete urban environment and improves our quality of life. The course aims to train and qualify a nature guide to introduce the natural history and key attraction in our garden city

  • Relate the evolution of Singapore's vision for a Garden City
  • Relate the evolution of the nature conservation in Singapore
  • Identify the key milestones and historical figures associated with the development of our garden city
  • Describe Singapore's principles, goals, strategy and action to safe-guard our biodiversity
  • Explain the concept of "A City in the Garden"
  • Introduce the local key nature attractions
  • Plan a day of activities in a nature attraction

Training Duration

  • 32 hours
  • 8am to 5pm Daily (Mon-Fri)

Singapore Citizens & PRs $70.00 (after 90% funding)
