LS-HM-201S-1 Implement plant propagation practices

Overview

On successful completion of this unit, the participant will have the knowledge and application skills to apply plant propagation practices, including soil/media, pest and disease control, potting on and potting up stock. Participants will also gain application skills to establish techniques for the production, growth and maintenance of nursery mother stock plants.

Competencies Trained and Assessed

  • CE1 Prepare nursery for propagation activities
  • CE2 Collect and store propagation material according to a production plan
  • CE3 Choose the most appropriate method and conditions of propagation for specific plant species
  • CE4 Complete propagation operations

Training Duration

  • 24 hours
  • 8am to 5pm Daily (Mon-Fri)
