CUGE-ARB-3028 Formative Pruning for Young Trees

This workshop covers the pruning strategies for a young tree. Proper pruning is essential in developing a tree with a strong structure and desirable form. Trees that receive the appropriate pruning measures while they are young will require less corrective pruning as they mature. Most importantly, formative pruning for young trees can reduce structural defects, decreasing future storm damage, and improving the quality of our urban forest.
