Green Thumbs 2011 “Advancing Productivity, Empowering People”

Green Thumbs is an annual event that showcases companies within the industry and highlights productivity improvements. This year, it was held on Sunday, 11 September at West Coast Park. The theme was "Advancing Productivity, Empowering People". The guest-of-honour, Minister of State, Mr Tan Chuan Jin, announced details of the S$11.8 million Landscape Industry Productivity Road Map that intends to enhance the productivity of the landscape industry in Singapore over the next 10 years.

This year’s Green Thumbs was jointly organised and funded by the Landscape Industry Association of Singapore (LIAS) and the Centre of Urban Greenery and Ecology (CUGE). In addition to the customary skills championships, sports and games activities, there were also various machinery on display for participants to have a “hands-on” experience.
