NParks Landscape Company Register



With effect from 1 July 2007, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has implemented a new Work Permit Holders (WPH) scheme for Landscape Companies.  Landscape companies will be allowed to employ WPHs of up to 50% of their total allowable workforce. Skilled WPHs will pay a monthly levy of $150, while unskilled WPHs will pay a monthly levy of $300. Companies can recruit WPHs from a greater number of sources (please see Table 1 below).

The MOM requires a company to be a registered as a Landscape Company with the National Parks Board (NParks). National Parks Board (NParks) will be administering a Landscape Company Registry to serve as an information bank.

Landscape companies that primarily provide services and products in the areas of landscape implementation, landscape care and maintenance, landscape nursery, and related fields can apply as a company of this register.

Registration as a Landscape Company with the NParks Landscape Company Register is voluntary. NParks will like all members of this Registry to adhere to a Code of Ethics as a commitment to the Industry.

1. Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) business
profile
2. Employment Details of Personnel's NRIC/ Employment Pass
number/ education qualification, etc
3. Corporate Track record and
4. Financial Accounts with IRAS Notice of Assessment and Form

An administrative charge is payable for processing a new application (Terms and Conditions apply). This payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee the applicant to be automatically registered.

Who Can Register?
Landscape companies that primarily provide Landscape implementation, Landscape care and maintenance services, Landscape nursery, etc can apply to this register.

Why the Need to Register?
Registration will enable Landscape Companies to qualify for access to foreign workers under the Landscaping foreign worker controls and will allow MOM to process the applications accordingly.

What is Admin Charge (Non-Refundable) for?
The Admin Charge is for processing of registration including verification of documents submitted, conducting verification checks through interviews and visits. The payment of Admin Charge is non-refundable and does not constitute as a registration.

What Information is required?
The information required for registration submission is provided in the Registration Forms. All information submitted is for the purpose of verification and will be kept strictly commercial-in-confidence.

Why the Need for Annual Renewal of Registration of Landscape Companies?
The annual renewal of registration is to ensure that the companies obligate that they continue to be landscape companies. The annual renewal date of the registry is 1st July annually; this date coincides with the effective introduction date of the "Landscape Scheme" by Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
