WSQ Diploma in Landscape Management (Arboriculture) - Ready in January 2010
The WSQ Diploma in Landscape Management (Arboriculture) is specially designed for Landscape Managers in the field of arboriculture, tree care practitioners who aspire to be Certified Arborists accredited with the International Society of Arboriculture, and for mid-career switches who aspire to build a career in the specialist field of arboriculture.

CUGE offers 7 Core WSQ units, 5 Sector Core WSQ Units and 4 Elective WSQ units for trainees.   To achieve a Full WSQ Qualification of Certificate in Landscape Operations, the trainee will have to be certified competent in 7 Core WSQ units, 5 Sector Core WSQ units and Any 2 Elective WSQ units.  Trainees will achieve the Statement of Attainment when certified competent in each WSQ unit.

LS-HS-401C  Interpret the principles of botany and plant physiology as applied to horticultural practices
LS-HS-402C-1  Interpret soil / media amelioration needs
LS-HS-403C-1  Develop an Integrated Plant and Landscape Health Management Program
LS-HM-401C-1  Develop and environmental management plan for a worksite
LS-PB-401C-1  Monitor and evaluate developed budgets
LS-PB-402C-1  Cost and estimate products and services
ES-WSH-401G-1 Workplace Safety and Health – Managerial

5 WSQ Sector Core Units

LS-HM-406S-1  Develop a planting, transplanting and removal program
LS-HM-407S-1  Develop and manage a tree pruning and maintenance program
LS-HM-408S-1  Develop and manage a tree protection and conservation program
LS-HS-403S-1  Evaluate and monitor the health of trees, large shrubs and palms
LS-PB-405E-1  Prepare a risk, hazard or emergency assessment report

4 WSQ Elective Units

LS-HS-402S-1  Select plants for specific situations or uses
LS-MT-401S-1  Implement and manage the machinery and equipment operational plan for an enterprise
LS-PB-402E-1  Manage landscape or horticultural based business operations
LS-PB-403E-1  Recognise and manage the implications of legislative requirements on industry management and work practices
