Soil Science: Chemical Properties of Soils

Introduction
This is a specially designed 3-day course to provide the fundamental concepts and practices of landscaping and horticulture, to expose trainees to hands-on skills and knowledge.

- Fertilisers and nutrients
- Irrigation and irrigation systems
- Light and Lighting in the landscapes
- Plant protection - Pest and Pest management
- Plant health - Diseases and casual factors
- Pesticide and pesticide safety
- Horticultural tools, equipment and machinery
- Fundamentals of landscape design

Methodology
Up to 70% being practical, hands-on practice and instruction at realistic work locations like public parks

Who should attend
- WSQ Certified Landscape Technicians
- Junior Supervisors

Trainers
Trainers are Industry practitioners who have wide-ranging experience and exposure to landscape design and landscape implementation works.  Trainers will be able to share real work illustrations and situations to better highlight the learning points and to share work experiences and challenges.
