Perform Tree Access and Aerial Rescue

The Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology (CUGE) is proud to launch the WSQ Higher Certificate in Landscape Operations (Arboriculture) Sector Core Modules. This qualification is offered to the industry in partnership with the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA).
The Singapore Workplace Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is a national continuing education and training system developed by the Industry and WDA. The WSQ system is designed to facilitate adult learning, make skills upgrading more accessible to the local workforce and provide career progression pathways.
PROGRAMME AIM
- Broaden and update participants’ understanding and knowledge of horticultural and landscape management competencies.
- The courses are based upon WSQ Landscape Competency LS-HM-204S-1 - Perform Tree Access and Aerial Rescue
- Participants who successfully complete and pass the assessment will be conferred a Statement of Attainment (SOA) by WDA.
PROGRAMME CONTENT
- Prepare for tree climbing operations
- Tie knots for tree climbing operations
- Climb Trees using approved industry techniques
- Conduct aerial rescue
METHODOLOGY
Practical - Demonstration & case studies
Oral – Knowledge, Comprehension and Discussion.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
· Landscape Technician
· Senior Landscape Technician
· Landscape Supervisor
TRAINER/FACILITATOR PROFILE
Experienced and professional trainers from the Landscape Industry.
ATTENDANCE
Please note that only trainees who have achieved at least 75% of attendance in training will be scheduled for assessment.
CERTIFICATION
Statement of Attainment
Upon successful completion and assessment of each training module, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA).

CUGE Potting Yard at Singapore Botanic Garden.
FEES
$70.00 (inclusive of GST) - Singapore Citizens / PRs
$1676.06 (inclusive of GST) – Foreigner
Fees includes provision of training and assessment materials and equipment, and tea-breaks.
Please note that only trainees who have achieved at least 75% of attendance in training will be scheduled for assessment.

CANCELLATION
National Parks Board reserves the right to change the programme venue, cancel or reschedule it if necessary or warranted by circumstances beyond our control.
There will be no refund of fees for withdrawal. However, if the registered participant is unable to attend, he or she will be allowed a one time deferment to the next intake. Please inform us of the changes by phone, email or fax 5 working days before the commencement of the programme.
