CUGE "Plant Diversity and Nomenclature" Workshop |
|
CUGE has organized the first run of “Plant Diversity and Nomenclature” Workshop. This workshop is primarily targeted at landscape practitioners with little or no botany background. The workshop provided the basics in botany, with special emphasis on assisting participants to develop their skills in proper plant identifications and nomenclature structure.
Mr Bian Tan, the workshop facilitator, a specialist in Botany and Taxonomy amongst other specialities, is engaging and passionate in teaching. The basics of botany is introduced to the participants through interactive lectures and field visits where participants could work with plenty of specimens to observe, touch, smell and ask questions freely.
The workshop received very positive feedback from the participants and in view of the overwhelming interest; CUGE will be conducting a second run of the workshop on April 22-23. Please contact Juliana Ho from CUGE for more details.
